Hi and welcome to the the NARGA Kids for Pets website! We would love for you to share photos and stories of your pets. Send to [email protected].
NARGA is a group of animal lovers who have joined together to help people who rescue animals in Australia. We love all animals and we hope we can all share some great stories about the animals we love. NARGA stands for National Animal Rescue Groups of Australia. Our goal is to provide help to all rescue groups who help animals, to give support to them and all their volunteers so they can continue to do a great job of rescuing animals. One of the things rescue groups do to help animals is to find temporary homes for animals that may be in a pound or an animal shelter. If an animal has been in the pound for a while and the owner has not come to get them a rescue group is allowed to find a new home for that animal. That's where foster carers come in. Fostering an animal is when you look after an animal and give it lots of love and attention until a forever home is found. This could be for any type of animal. In a way you are giving an animal a second chance at happiness and a new life. Next time you are looking for a new furry member to join your family, remember to check out the local animal shelter, pound or rescue group. You just may find your next best friend. |
